Eulogies Pour In for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Are Sealed.

Well beyond 14 days subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of renowned film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues persist in remembering the couple.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Posting on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, explained he just recently felt prepared to share openly about his profound loss.

"Adequate time has elapsed that I can now express my sorrow into words," wrote Elwes, adding that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started passing more hours together I realized this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor uploaded archival material from the film, commenting that he doesn't recollect "one day without joy".

"The film is about affection, allegiance and giving. Things that Rob valued immensely. This is one of the many reasons he was the perfect person to helm it," Elwes wrote.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, stating: "Claiming that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I think of you." He finished with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Friend and Collaborator

In a distinct tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the protagonist.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked beautifully with everyone, and he comprehended the human predicament of his character," Scorsese added.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Sealed

In a new development, a Los Angeles judge ruled to prevent the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, after an appeal from the local authorities.

A court order placed a security hold on the files to restrict the public release of "all case details, notes, reports or photos" connected to the active case.

The coroner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the result of murder, with a public database citing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Response and Criticism

Following the killings, public individuals expressed different responses.

Ex-President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, providing divisive claims that were widely condemned by several individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his perspective to the those speaking out recently. Talking on his program, Rogan labeled the comments as "disappointing" and remarked they showed a troubling deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan ended by suggesting that an adviser should have intervened when the choice to comment on the tragedy was made.
