It's difficult for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have long been mastered.

This is the squad that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, plus six more T20 titles, and earlier maintained 1,294 days undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, the ones sought by the peak baggers, are the only things left for a squad that has won it all.

It needed up to Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase over 300, regaining their record for the biggest in the female 50-over format, is, frankly, a compliment to the bowlers that have sported the yellow jersey over five decades.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it again but, if we do, we know we can do it."

That comment will be the ultimate thing Australia's opponents at this tournament want to hear.

Over the past five days a feeling they will succeed regardless of circumstances has become more firm - this victory coming after victory over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite sitting at 76-7 at one stage.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a meeting with old rivals England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final place may probably be guaranteed.
