Three Shortlisted for Young Athlete of the Year Prize

English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the this year's Young Sports Star of the Year award.
The three finalists have been honoured for their outstanding achievements over the previous year.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin rose to fame with a historic innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The shortlisted athletes were announced live on a widely-listened-to radio show.
This year's winner will be unveiled on the Sports Personality of the Year show on the 18th of December.
The ceremony will be broadcast from seven in the evening GMT.
Michelle Agyemang

Just three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to winning the Euros.
She entered the fray to score vital last-gasp goals in both the last eight and last four matches.
Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.
Afterwards, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.
Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.
"To be named a finalist for this award is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."
Littler's Profile

Littler kicked off the year in incredible form as - at just 17 years old - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.
He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.
He didn't stop there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the very first time.
At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, smashing the previous record.
"Earning a spot on the shortlist for this award again is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a special memory for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."
Perrin's Profile
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and surged to prominence with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.
Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.
It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.
Perrin came in second place in the run-scoring charts and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.
"I'm deeply humbled to be named a finalist for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it encourages more young females to get into cricket."
